Chapter 3 Task Force

The Chapter 3 Task Force is charged with developing a PowerPoint program for the CAPC Web page to assist catalogers in their examination of new AACR2 rules related to cartographic materials. This instruction, designed for all levels of media librarians, will offer a summary and overview of all the changes, as well as "before and after" examples of MARC records to illustrate the most significant of these changes. The program should address all formats in which cartographic materials are potentially issued, including but not limited to remote access e-resources and CD-ROMs. The Task Force will give an update at the 2002 Annual Meeting in Atlanta, Georgia, with release of the training tool simultaneous with the revision to the rules.
