 OLAC is seeking nominations for a Web Administrative Assistant to work with the current Webmaster.  Together the two positions will be responsible for keeping the OLAC Web page available on the Internet and up to date with correct and timely information including the full text of each issue of the OLAC Newsletter as it becomes available. 

Thanks to Scott M. Dutkiewicz the LCGFT for Moving Image Materials, list has been updated through October 17, 2011 (List 25). This update contains several new terms, two cancellations, and reflects the recent decision to cancel some 90 terms effective Feb. 20, 2012.

Catalogers) is currently seeking applicants for the 2012 OLAC Research Grant.
This annual award of up to $2,000 encourages research in the field of audiovisual cataloging, and will be appointed on the basis of practicability and perceived value to the AV cataloging community.

OLAC's Nancy B. Olson Award Committee is now accepting nominations for the 2012 award. The Nancy B. Olson Award recognizes and honors a librarian who has made significant contributions to the advancement and understanding of audiovisual cataloging. The Committee will select a recipient based on nominations received, subject to approval by the Executive Board at the ALA Midwinter Meeting.

It's not too early to begin planning for the next OLAC conference. It will take place October 18-21, 2012 in Albuquerque, NM. The conference committee has been hard at work making preparations. Stay informed by visiting the 2012 OLAC conference web site

Thanks to Scott M. Dutkiewicz the LCGFT for Moving Image Materials, list has been updated through May 18, 2011 (List 20). There are no changes in terms, but, upon request, the LCCNs to the new gf-prefixed numbers have been added. It is available here as a PDF document or on Classification Web.
